Founder and CEO of Liberty Heights Community Center, Nonprofit. 31 years of developing, managing, and monitoring community-based programs for historically disadvantaged and under-served areas in rural; MSA; and inner cities. Sharleen is the owner/operator of Orphe Creole Farms, LLC: a specialty crop acreage '1814 historical family farm in St. Martinville, LA.
In 2016, Sharleen began Giving Grace Farmers Fishermen & Trade Cooperatives which focus on the needs and marketing of TX farmers, producers, fishermen, and ranchers. In 1996,
Ms. JeanBaptiste established the 501c3 Liberty Heights Community Center to help reduce crime in Southwest Dallas County Texas. In 2003, Sharleen began opening successful food hubs and programs for the historically disadvantaged areas in SW Dallas County In 2010, Sharleen opened 3 food hubs in South LA most vulnerable parishes of Upper & Lower St. Martin Parish, and Jefferson Davis Parish. Sharleen has 28 years of proposal/grant writing workshops, having successfully written approved proposals from federally, state, and philanthropy foundation grantors.
